Cookie Policy
What cookies we use and how to manage them
Last updated: 2026-04-15
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Black Wall (https://blackwall.games), operated by Black Wall S.L. (in formation), uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which provides more detail on the processing of personal data. By continuing to use Black Wall you accept the use of the essential cookies described below; non-essential cookies require your explicit consent through the banner.
2. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit. Cookies let a site remember information about you across page loads and visits.
Cookies can be "session" (deleted when you close the browser) or "persistent" (stored for a set period). They are set either by the site you visit (first-party cookies) or by external services used by the site (third-party cookies).
We also use equivalent technologies such as localStorage to save user preferences directly in the browser.
3. Essential cookies
Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function. They cannot be disabled and do not require consent.
sb-<project>-auth-token (Supabase Auth): stores your login session so you stay signed in while browsing. Persistent, 30 days. Provider: Supabase Inc.
sb-<project>-auth-token.0 / .1 (session fragments): complementary fragments used by Supabase for large sessions. Persistent, 30 days.
blackwall_consent: stores your cookie preferences so we can respect them on future visits. Persistent, 12 months. Provider: Black Wall S.L. (in formation) (first-party).
Next.js internals (if applicable): framework-internal cookies for routing and CSRF validation of forms are session cookies and are deleted when you close the browser.
4. Functional cookies and storage
Functional cookies and storage remember your preferences to improve your experience. They are not strictly necessary but provide useful functionality. They require your consent via the banner.
Language preference: remembers the language you chose (English or Spanish) for future visits. Stored in localStorage.
WhatsNewPopup (cptcgdb_changelog_seen): remembers the last changelog version you saw so the popup doesn't appear repeatedly. Stored in localStorage.
Beta banner (localStorage): remembers whether you closed the beta banner. Stored in localStorage.
5. Analytics cookies
We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure aggregate site usage and performance. These services use privacy-preserving techniques: they do not use persistent cookies for cross-site tracking, and data is aggregated and anonymised.
Loading these services requires your consent via the banner. If you do not accept the "analytics" category, these scripts are not downloaded or executed.
Provider: Vercel Inc. Data processed: URL, user-agent, aggregate performance metrics.
6. Marketing cookies
We currently do not use marketing or advertising cookies.
This section is kept as a placeholder for future use. If in the future we introduce advertising or marketing tracking, we will update this policy and request your express consent before loading any marketing cookie.
7. Managing your preferences
You can review and change your cookie preferences at any time from the consent banner. If you already dismissed it, you can reopen it by clearing the blackwall_consent cookie from your browser.
You can also control cookies from your browser settings, which typically allow you to: reject cookies, delete existing ones, or receive a notification when one is set. Note that disabling essential cookies will affect core functionality such as staying signed in.

— Session cookies: deleted when you close the browser.
— Functional cookies: up to 12 months.
— Consent cookie (blackwall_consent): 12 months. When it expires we ask for your consent again.
