Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the questions we get most often.

Is Black Wall free?

Yes. The full card catalogue, deck builder, match tracker, blog and events are free. Some advanced features like the AI-assisted Fixer chat will be part of a premium plan when it launches; the current version is available to admins only.

Who runs Black Wall?

Carlos Suazo López. Black Wall is a fan project for the Cyberpunk 2077 TCG — not affiliated with CD Projekt Red or netdeck.gg. Contact: hello@blackwall.games.

Where does the card data come from?

From netdeck.gg, synced daily. When a card changes upstream, we re-sync it. Cards that disappear upstream are retired (kept in DB so old decks don't break, hidden from the public catalogue and the builder).

Can I use my Google account?

Yes. Sign up or log in with Google from the login page. Your email, name and profile picture come over from Google; nothing else is accessed.

Do you support 2FA?

Yes, TOTP (Google Authenticator / Authy / 1Password / Aegis / Raivo). Enrol from Settings → Security. Once enabled, every login requires the 6-digit code. If you lose access to both your email and the TOTP codes, contact support — there is a manual recovery process.

Can I export all my data?

Yes. Go to Your data (link in the footer) and click Download my data. You get a single JSON file with your profile, decks, matches, events, comments, chat history and everything else. This is your GDPR Article 20 right.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. From the same Your data page. Deletion is permanent and removes all your data including chat history, matches and decks. Feedback reports you've submitted are kept but anonymised (the link to your identity is severed), so your reports still help us improve the product.

Why are my chat conversations saved?

So you can resume them across sessions and devices. Each conversation lives in your account with the same privacy as everything else (nobody else can read it). You can delete individual conversations or all of them from the chat interface; deleting your account purges the lot.

What happens when I make my profile private?

Your display name stays visible but your bio, social handles, decks, matches and activity feed are hidden from other users. Admins retain access for moderation. Private profiles are flagged noindex so search engines don't surface them.

How do I report inappropriate content?

Today, contact hello@blackwall.games with the URL and the reason. A proper in-app report button is on the roadmap — see docs/pre-v1-checklist.md item #16 (community policies).

Can I write for the blog?

Editors can. If you want editor access to write guides, tier lists or meta reports, email hello@blackwall.games with a sample of your writing.

Why don't I see my deck in the public listing?

Check visibility: only public decks show up in listings. Archived decks don't show either. The listing also excludes decks with no legends or that fail validation — fix the build error and it will appear.

How often do you back up?

Daily automatic backups via Supabase, plus a nightly dump to Cloudflare R2 outside our main infrastructure. See docs/db-backup.md for the procedure. Target: up to 24 hours of data loss maximum in a worst-case restore.

Where can I report a bug or suggest a feature?

Click the bug icon in the topbar (signed in) to open the feedback modal. Or email hello@blackwall.games. Every report lands in our admin queue and we try to reply within 48h during beta.

Is my card collection tracked?

Not explicitly today. You track matches and decks, not which physical cards you own. A collection tracker is on the roadmap as a future enhancement.
