Card Types

The four card types in the Cyberpunk TCG and how each one works.

There are four distinct card types in Cyberpunk TCG. Each type has its own rules for how it enters play, what it does, and where it ends up.

Legend

Legends are your crew leaders — powerful cards that form the backbone of your deck. They begin the game placed face-down in your Legends Area and are not in your deck. You flip a Legend face-up by paying 2 Eddies during your Play Phase. Alternatively, you may spend a face-down Legend as if it were 1 Eddie to help pay a cost, but it is then removed from the game.

Legends are not shuffled into your deck — they start in their own dedicated area and have unique flip triggers.

Unit

Units are the combat members of your crew. They are played from your hand to your Field during the Play Phase. A Unit cannot attack on the same turn it is played — it must wait until your next turn to enter combat.

Program

Programs are one-time-use effect cards. You play them from your hand, resolve their effect immediately, and then discard them to the Trash. Programs are never placed on the Field.

Gear

Gear cards are equipment that attaches to Units on your Field. When Gear is attached to a Unit, it travels with that Unit — if the Unit is defeated and sent to the Trash, its attached Gear goes with it.
