Glossary
Key terms and definitions for the Cyberpunk TCG.
B
- Blocker
- A keyword ability. A Unit with BLOCKER can be spent to intercept a rival's Steal attack, redirecting it away from a direct hit. Only one BLOCKER may be used per attack.
C
- Call a Legend
- The action of paying 2 Eddies to flip one of your face-down Legends face-up in your Legends Area during the Play Phase. The Legend's FLIP ability resolves immediately.
E
- Eddies
- The currency of the game. Eddies are generated by spending cards sideways from your Eddies Area. Cards placed in the Eddies Area produce 1 Eddie each when readied at the start of your turn.
F
- Fixer
- The area of the playmat where all six of your Gig Dice begin the game. Each turn during the Ready Phase, you select one die from the Fixer Area, roll it, and move it to your Gig Area.
G
- Gear
- A card type that attaches to a Unit on your Field. Gear modifies or enhances the Unit it is attached to and travels with that Unit — when the Unit is defeated, its Gear goes to the Trash as well.
- Gig Dice
- The six dice that represent the Gigs (jobs) you claim during the game. Each die moved to your Gig Area counts as 1 Gig. Accumulating 6 or more Gig Dice in your Gig Area at the start of your turn wins you the game.
L
- Legend
- A card type representing crew leaders. Legends start face-down in the Legends Area (outside your deck) and are flipped face-up by paying 2 Eddies. They can also be spent face-down for 1 Eddie, removing them from the game.
P
- Program
- A card type with a one-time effect. Programs are played from hand, resolve immediately, and are sent to the Trash. They are never placed on the Field.
R
- RAM
- A value printed on each Legend card that determines how many cards of a specific color your deck may contain. Your total RAM per color is the sum of all three Legends' RAM values for that color.
- Ready
- The state of a card that is upright (not sideways). A ready card can be used — Units can attack, cards in the Eddies Area can be spent, and Legends with ready conditions are active. Cards are readied at the start of your Ready Phase.
S
- Spend / Spent
- To turn a card sideways, indicating it has been used for the turn. Spent cards cannot be used again until they are readied. Units are spent when they attack or block; Eddies Area cards are spent to pay costs.
- Street Cred
- Your current score, calculated as the sum of the face values of all dice in your Gig Area. Street Cred is used to determine the winner in an Overtime situation.
U
- Unit
- A card type representing combat crew members. Units are played to the Field and cannot attack the turn they are played (unless played via GO SOLO). Units battle rival Units in the Fight action or attack directly in the Steal action.
